The legendary Slovenian punk rock band Niet celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, which the guys already marked on 24 May with a sold-out concert at Križanke and the release of the double vinyl album Pa tako lep dan je bil 1984-2024 and the digital album Tema rjove skozi mesto (Darkness roars through the city). Recently, the Primus publishing house in cooperation with ZKP RTV Slovenia released an authorised biography of the band entitled Pa tako lep dan je bil (Niet - 40 let), which is now available in our online shop. The book is accompanied by a music edition, the CD Pa so lep dan je bil 1984-2024, which contains recordings from all key periods of the band's history. The book was written by Zdenko Matoz, a journalist for newspaper Delo and keen observer of the Slovenian music scene. The 280-page book chronicles the rise, fall and rebirth of the iconic band that inspired new generations of rockers to pick up guitars and develop new sub-genres, and includes 30 interviews, 150 photographs and all the lyrics to their songs.
