The fifth studio album by Iztok Mlakar for ZKP RTV Slovenia Porkaeva! brings nine just rightly spiced-up songs that are brighter than those on previous releases. "The more years that pass, the less pessimism there is in my experience of the world," said Mlakar during the recent presentation of Porkaeva! on Val 202. Irony, ironic distance, humour, laughter and smiles are the fruits of maturity. Already in Pašjon he reached for biblical motifs. "This mythology is a part of all of us, whether you are religious or not. I always say that God already knows why he made me an atheist," says Iztok.
