Slobodan Maksimović's second feature film about a 16-year-old go-kart driver who overcomes a dispute with her mother to win the most important victory of her life. Best Youth Film at the Motovun Film Festival. “Nika shows that girls can succeed in roles traditionally assigned to boys. This is why an even more exaggerated version of one of the film's slogans, that girls are better than boys, is true: because girls have to be better than boys to be accepted as equals in a man's world” (Urban
Tarman, Radio Slovenia).
SYNOPSIS
The main character of the film is Nika, a 16-year-old girl who loves racing go-karts. She was inspired to take up the sport by her father, who was killed in a car accident, and is now looked after by her mother Mojca.
