A feature film debut by the Slovenian director Olmo Omerzu. A Night Too Young is his graduation film at the famous Prague FAMU. The film is a "proof of how quickly a child must grow up today if he wants to survive, become competitive and join a world in which everyone is guilty, defeated, deprived and replaceable" (Marcel Štefančič Jr., film critic). Czech film critics named the film and the director as the »discovery of the year« in 2013. It began its successful international path at the Berlin Film Festival and was also part of the competition program of the Ljubljana Liffe Festival.

SYNOPSIS

Two children find themselves in a young girl’s flat with two other men and here they experience their first encounter with love and sexuality. The children lose track of time. They were expected home long ago. They drink, throw up and are intoxicated by love and »the shameless, unbridled and licentious« world in which David, Kateřina and Štěpan live.

Starring Natálie Řehořová, Martin Pechlát, Jiří Černý, Vojtěch Machuta, Jan Vaši and Milan Mikulčik. The screenplay was written by Bruno Hájek, Jakub Felcman and Olmo Omerzu, who also directed the film, the director of photography is Lukáš Milota, the editor is Janka Vlčková, the sound designer is Ladislav Greiner, the production designer is Jan Kalous, the costume designer is Marjetka Kurner Kalous, the make-up artist is Michaela Krepsova, the producer is Jiří Konečný and the coproducers are Ondřej Šejnoha, Franci Zajc and Boštjan Ikovic from Arsmedia.
