Carmen received two awards at the Slovenian Film Marathon in Portorož: the Metod Badjura Silver Award for the director Metod Pevec and the Stop Award for Best Actress of the Year for Nataša Barbara Gračner.

SYNOPSIS

Carmen is a myth. Carmen is a legendary opera. The heroine of our story, however, is a real, true and contemporary personality. She is not aware of this; the emotion he knows consists of a passionate longing for something indescribable and a hatred of an equally hostile world. On her way to the margin of society, she meets Goran, who really falls in love with her, but their love is not destined for a happy ending. Goran steps on the other side, but in his soul he carries a trace of an experience that changed his attitude towards people. This feeling will lead him to write a novel with a simple title: Carmen. And the story of darkness and light will be repeated.
