Vöra bije (choir and piano)

The idea for the music project Vöra bije dates back to 2019, when we marked the hundredth anniversary of the incorporation of Prekmurje and the unification of Prekmurje Slovenians with the mother nation. It contains folk songs from Prekmurje and Porabje Slovenians from the songbook Pesem Slovenske dežele (The song of the Slovenian land), prepared in 1975 by dr. Zmaga Kumer from the Music and Ethnography Institute at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts for which the composer Lojze Krajnčan has created scores for the youth choir and symphony orchestra that are completely new, fresh and youthfully yet are still containing Prekmurje music sound. In addition to that there are also a few original compositions by Feri Lainšček and Lojze Krajnčan. All scores can be purchased in printed and digital form.
