The audio books of Andrej Hieng's The Miraculous Felix and Francis Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby

ZKP RTV Slovenia, Mladinska Knjiga Publishing House, Koper Theatre and Radio Slovenia – ARS Programme - are releasing the audio book of Francis Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby. The audio book, transleted by Tomaž Metelko, is narrated by the member of Koper Theatre Rok Matek and directed by Renata Vidič. Set in Jazz Age New York, the novel tells the tragic story of Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, and his pursuit of Daisy Buchanan, a wealthy young woman whom he loved in his youth. “Rok Matek follows the writer's narration with rare descriptions, but with a vivid portrayal of the main characters through their words, thoughts and actions," said about the audio book the literary editor Vlado Motnikar. The audio book has been financially supported by the Slovenian Book Agency.

The audio book is narrated by acclaimed actor Igor Samobor and directed by Alen Jelen. The novel is set in the late 1930s, when Europe is in a ruin and members of the wealthy Kalmuss-Missia family in a mansion on the edge of a small Styrian town are also facing difficult times. The audio book has been financially supported by the Slovenian Book Agency.
