Slovenian entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 is Maja Keuc with the song No One/Vanilija. She was chosen by the Slovenian people in the national final EMA 2011. Maja Keuc warded off April in the super final of the competition.
Maja Keuc has been called the Christina Aguilera or Anastacia of Slovenia. She has participated in musicals such as We Will Rock You, and is a former member of the local rock band Bugs. Genres where she has found herself very comfortable include soul, jazz and blues. Maja shot to fame in Slovenia when she participated in the show Slovenija Ima Talent ("Slovenia's Got Talent") in 2010. The second place in the show caused her to be very sought after and also resulted in involvement in a studio
album. She is described as a self-critical girl, with both feet on the ground and a firm belief in the good in this world. Her Eurovision Song Contest entry No One/Vanilija is composed by Matjaž Vlašič, with lyrics by Urša Vlašič.
