Hudičev sod (Devil's Barrel) is the eighth solo album of the Slovene punk legend Peter Lovšin. In the late seventies he won huge acclaim of the Slovene audience and the press in the role of the frontman and singer of the no.1 Slovene punk band Pankrti (Bastards; 1977- 1987). A number of their CDs available in our webshop, also their legendary album Dolgcajt (Boredom) from 1980, one of the most important milestones in development of Slovene rock'n'roll (CD 108488) and their triple CD presenting their studio (vinyl) albums The Box - Anthology 77-87 (CD 103254). The band sucessfully reunited in 2007. Their sold-out Ljubljana concert of that time was documented on the CD & DVD Nč se ne premakne (Nothing changes, 2008, CD 110474).

Since the early nineties Peter Lovšin has been successfully pursuing also his solo career, caught between rock'n'roll, reggae, ethno,... His last CD Hudičev sod, released in May 2010, has been one of his most successful solo projects so far. It stayed at the very top of the Slovene national chart of the best selling CDs for a number of weeks between June and September 2010 and also won very positive feedback by most of the press. On it Lovšin produces an incredibly provocative and attractive blend of his nonconformist rock'n'roll and the up-and-down moods of Slovene folk music. His sharp urban roots meet the musical soul of the country. For the fans of Shane McGowan, unplugged Bruce Springsteen, not to forget the (Sticky Fingers?) Rolling Stones.
