ZKP RTV Slovenia is releasing the new single Tokyo by the band Mehanika. “Tokyo is a song about perpetual restlessness and the desire for movement. From sacred mountains to distant cities, from bold plans to new beginnings, it follows a person searching the world for something more— inspiration, change, or perhaps even themselves. Through a fast-paced sequence of images, places, and encounters, the listener is presented with a map of both external journeys and inner landscapes. At the heart of the song lies a simple realization: wherever you go, you still carry yourself with you. No city can silence your thoughts for you, and no postcard can replace inner peace. Tokyo is therefore not a song about destinations, but about the path to tranquility—a peace we find only when, amid the crowds of the world and the noise of our own minds, we finally hear ourselves. The kingdom we seek has in fact been within us all along,” say the members of the band.

Over the summer, the group will also film their first high-budget music video for the new single. The video is set for release in September, alongside their debut album Astromehanika. The album will be released digitally through ZKP RTV Slovenia.

Mehanika continues to perform actively across Slovenia, steadily building its audience and fan base. Fans are invited to attend the band’s major performance at the Zagorje Night Festival on 1 August 2026.
