In cooperation with Radio Maribor, ZKP RTV Slovenija is releasing the album Pesem ostaja (The Song Remains) performed by one of the pioneers of Slovenian country music, Milan Pečovnik Pidži. The album is a collection of songs from his more than 40-year career. “Every song has its own story. Some are born from sunny days, others from the quiet of evening, yet each carries a piece of the heart. This album is my last — let it be a remembrance of all the paths, people, and moments that have left their mark on me. From the first chords and Prve brazde to today, I’ve walked a road where the song always found its voice. Pesem ostaja is not just a collection of tracks, but a tribute to time, to life, and to everyone who has been with me — on stage, in concert halls, at home by the radio, or on country paths where the honest melody of country music connected us. I am grateful for every applause, every handshake, every word of encouragement. The musical journey may be coming to an end, but the melodies remain — in the hearts where they were born,” says Milan Pečovnik Pidži about his final project.
