ZKP RTV Slovenia is releasing a vinyl reissue of Izvir by Izvir, a cult band from the late 1970s who played the progressive rock of that generation. The record was first released by ZKP RTV Slovenija in 1977 and features one of their most famous songs, 'Šel je popotnik skozi atomski vek' (A Traveler Went Through the Atomic Age), with which they won the Yugoslav Rock Selection and toured all the major cities of Yugoslavia. Izvir was formed in 1974 and consisted of Marko Bitenc (vocals), Marjan Lebar (bass), Andrej Petković (drums), Davorin Petrič and Franc Opeka (guitars) and Andrej Konjajev (keyboards). The band broke up in 1977 when Opeka, Konjajev and Petrič were drafted into the army. When they returned, they played in other bands.
