ZKP RTV Slovenia, in collaboration with Radio Slovenia – First Programme and RTV Slovenia Music Production – RTV Slovenia Big Band, proudly releases the vinyl edition of We Will Never Be The Same, the acclaimed album by trumpeter and composer Tomaž Gajšt. "With We Will Never Be The Same, I want to draw attention to the growing distance between people and, above all, to our increasing need for mutual respect. As the title suggests, we will never be the same, and we will never all think alike. I believe in the power of respect and in celebrating our differences, because they are what make our world so fascinating and diverse. The vinyl edition has been beautifully enriched by the illustrations of graphic designer Tinka Mesec Tomazin. This music, in which every individual fights for their own space and moment of attention, will enhance not only your listening experience but your visual environment as well," said Gajšt on the occasion of the LP's release.

The vinyl has been issued as a limited, numbered edition of 390 copies. The album is also available in digital format.

Gajšt's musical output reflects the rich experience he has gained through numerous collaborations and by interpreting the works of his closest musical companions. His compositions combine striking contrasts with a wide variety of musical elements. Although firmly rooted in the jazz tradition, they sound remarkably fresh and contemporary. Several compositions feature lyrics by Urška Supej, Tsarina M. Krajnčan, Primož Vitez and Robert Jukič, while the music is further elevated by outstanding orchestral arrangements by Lojze Krajnčan. For the recording, Gajšt also invited vocalists Nina Strnad, Maša But and Ana Čop, together with drummer Kristijan Krajnčan.

On Thursday at approximately 12:20 p.m., Tomaž Gajšt will appear live on Radio Slovenia – First Programme, where he will present the vinyl edition of We Will Never Be The Same in conversation with host Rok Valenčič.

About Tomaž Gajšt

Tomaž Gajšt has been a member of the RTV Slovenia Big Band for thirteen years. During this time, he has established himself as an essential member of the trumpet section and an outstanding soloist, as evidenced by numerous concert recordings and many albums released in recent years. As a featured soloist, he can be heard on almost every album released by Slovenia's national jazz orchestra. His playing resonates far beyond the orchestra itself, and he is widely regarded as one of Slovenia's finest trumpeters of his generation. Gajšt is distinguished by his exceptional musical sensitivity, expressive sound and remarkable interpretative artistry.
