Hvala za Sunderland

Hvala za Sunderland s svežim scenarističnim in režijskim pristopom kaže slovensko družbo skozi dva sodobna fenomena: na eni strani je glavni junak Johan, pošten delavec stare šole na robu eksistence, po drugi strani pa se njegova zgodba na posrečen način prepleta z vzponom novodobne zvezde. »Hvala za Sunderland nas je zabaval in se nas dotaknil«, je zapisala žirija Festivala slovenskega filma (2012), ko ga je nagradila z vesno za najboljši celovečerni film.

With its fresh screenwriting and directing approach, Thanks for Sunderland shows the Slovenian society through two modern phenomenas: on the one hand the main character is Johan, an honest old school worker on the brink of extinction, and on the other hand the story is connected with the rise of a contemporary star. »Thanks for Sunderland has entertained us and at the same time it touched us,« wrote the jury of the Festival of Slovenian Film (2012), when awarding the film with Vesna for the best feature film.

V sodelovanju s Slovenskim filmskim centrom in slovenskimi neodvisnimi producenti ob finančni podpori Ministrstva za kulturo.
